You put it on the table and the room goes quiet. Not the kind of silence that makes you uneasy, but the silence of a child who picks up a piece, studies it, turns it over, and only then puts it down.
That is what this game does. A wooden board with grooves, 42 colorful pieces that fit into place, and a stack of cards with shapes to copy. No screen, no flashing lights, no tune that stays stuck in your head after ten minutes.
It grows with your child, and that is what makes the difference
Most games are suitable for one age. This game suits three phases at once, because the cards become more difficult each time:
-
Around age 3, your child plays with the loose pieces: stacking them, sorting them by color, feeling how a block drops into the groove.
-
Around age 4 or 5, the cards come into play. Look, find the right piece, and copy the shape.
-
Around age 6 or 7, filling the entire board becomes the challenge. Now thinking ahead is needed, because one piece in the wrong place blocks the rest.
That is why it does not end up at the bottom of the toy box after two weeks. It continues to match what your child is able to do at that moment.
What is included
- Wooden board with grooves, 20 by 31 centimeters
- 42 colorful wooden pieces, sturdy enough for small hands
- A stack of challenge cards with shapes to copy
- Wooden stand to display the board upright
How it works
The board has grooves. Small pegs under each piece fit into them, so a design stays in place, even when the board is upright on the stand. Your child chooses a card, gathers the matching pieces, and recreates the shape. It works just as well without a card: just build whatever they can imagine.
Who it is for
For the child who is done after five minutes with toys that only do one thing. And for grandpa, grandma, mother, or father who is looking for a gift that will still be played with six months from now, instead of the next battery-powered toy.
Suitable for children aged 3 and up. It contains small parts, so we recommend keeping it out of reach of children younger than three.
