HandyPro Electric Chainsaw - 7 Easy Steps to Assemble the Saw Blade and Chain

The saw chain of the HandyPro Electric Chainsaw is delivered separately from the device for safety reasons. This manual explains step-by-step how to mount the saw chain.

Condition on arrival:

As shown in the image below, the HandyPro is delivered without the chain mounted. You will receive the chain separately with your order.

Requirements

To mount the saw chain, you will need:

  • The HandyPro
  • The included saw chain
  • The included wrench
  • The included screwdriver

Make sure the battery is not connected to the device before you start.

This can prevent accidents!

Step 1: Remove

First, remove the black cover using the included wrench:

Step 2: Loosen the adjustment screw

Completely loosen the adjustment screw by turning it counterclockwise with the included screwdriver.

Step 3: Place the chain around the saw blade

Place the chain neatly around the saw blade so that the inside of the chain fits into the groove of the saw blade.

Step 4: Place the saw blade on the device

Take the saw blade with the chain around it and place it on the device so that:

1) The loosened adjustment screw (step 2) fits into the designated hole
and
2) The chain loosely fits around the sprocket. We will tighten this in Step 6.

Step 5: Reattach the black cover

Now reattach the cover that was removed in Step 1.

Make sure to hold the saw blade in place with one hand and place the black cover with the other hand so that the chain stays on the sprocket.

Once the black cover is in place, tighten the nut again with the wrench. At this point, the chain is still relatively loose around the saw blade.

Step 6: Tighten the adjustment screw

To tighten the chain on the saw blade, turn the adjustment screw clockwise with the screwdriver.

Turn the adjustment screw until you feel enough resistance that it cannot turn further, just like when screwing into a wooden board.

Note: It is common at first to feel like the screw is not "catching." This is because the first part of the thread has no resistance. Just keep turning and you will feel the resistance.

Step 7: Time to prune!

Okay, now just insert the battery.

The battery may arrive empty. If this is the case, we recommend charging the battery for 3-4 hours first so you can work in the garden without worries!
